Before installing your Chimney Balloon ®

Take a few minutes to inspect your fireplace chimney flue

1. Inspect the exterior of your chimney, looking for white stains and/or other discoloration
2. Look for deteriorating or cracked masonry on the exterior of the chimney
3. On the inside of your home look for staining or peeling on the walls
4. Inspect your chimney cap, chimney crown, and/or stainless steel or galvanized chase cover
5. Look for cracks or deteriorating mortar joints in your terra-cotta chimney flue tiles on the interior of your fireplace chimney
6. Examine the fire box itself for any cracks, warped metal, or missing or deteriorating masonry fire bricks

PASSED Inspection

You did not find any of the mentioned problems. If your fireplace chimney and chimney components PASSED this inspection list you are now ready to install your Chimney Balloon ®

FAILED Inspection

You found one or more problems mentioned above. If your fireplace chimney FAILED this inspection, you may need to install a Flex King Chimney Lining System.
