The GDIZC-N gas direct vent insert turns an existing masonry or manufactured fireplace into a heating unit - with a steady state efficiency of up to 85%. The unit comes standard with a millivolt remote ready natural gas valve with adjustable flame and heat control that easily converts to LP. It comes standard with a high-heat ceramic glass door, "Phazer" logs and embers, and a heat circulating blower with variable speed control and thermodisc on/off switch. It has a double flame stainless steel burner and a piezo ignitor. It's rated 24,000 BTUs.

Control options include a thermostatic remote control, an on/off remote control, or a wall thermostat control. The unit is approved for bathrooms, bedrooms, and sitting rooms. A variety of surround kits are avilable.

The GDIZC-N uses two 3" aluminum liners, requiring an existing flue of at least 7" interior diameter. For 6" interior flues, call for a neccessary, special order venting kit. The liners can be up to 35' long.
